  1. merrysoprano your excitement is contagious
  2. Well ya, Boardercafe is quite nice.. but for a big group we'd have to make a reservation... I will be happy to make a reservation even if i can't make it for the get together in case of a meeting clash...But let's first see where everyone else also wants to go.
  3. Hi everyone, lots has been discussed. im still catching up. I'm attending the sessions on 6th, April -One Havard , the afternoon reception on 7th and my programs open house on the 8th. I'm hoping i'll be able to join everyone for the Gradcafe get together. Now about the cafe and restaurant options.. so i live in Cambridge and for catching up with my friends from HGSE i typically meet them at the foll places: For tea/coffee: Creme Cafe Tealuxe Starbucks ABP Panera Bread For lunch: Flat patties - burgers and sandwiches Maharaja - Indian restaurant Bertucci's - italian Border Cafe - Tex-mex (seafood enchiladas, empanadas etc) Chipotle - mexican Tanjore - Indian Wagamama - Asian (noodle and rice dishes, salads, fresh juices, wines, sake and asian beers ) I think we'll be in a better position to pick an option once we know the number of ppl and the time we'd be meeting at. Hope this helps.
  4. Gradcafe meetup sounds great !! and certainly not too soon for planning a get together... Looking fwd to meeting you all
  5. Interesting study...Harvard at No.2 http://finance.yahoo.com/news/20-brainiest-colleges-america-164400109.html
  6. Request sent to join the FB group HGSE 2013-2014.. also, does anyone know if there are any Linkedin groups too ?
  7. Hey, thanks. I will definitely take a tour. I also plan to join a NBA fantasy league but as of now i'm trying to follow NBA more often. My husband is a huge Clippers fan. I like them too. When i was deciding between TC and HGSE i was also thinking which NBA team would i like to cheer for, Knicks or Celtics..lol!!
  8. Somehow now i am more interested in the Basketball updates here than in the on going debate on Bschool vs Ed school salaries, treatment etc etc. I recently started following NBA (I'm not from the U.S and moved here abt 1.5 yrs ago) and love it. Looking fwd to cheering for the Crimson during a match in Boston.
  9. That's true.. comparing Law school/ B school with Ed school is like comparing apples to oranges. HGSE is very well respected all around the world, certainly where i come from. Law School and B school have their own charm but to a different set of people. HGSE is the hub of thought leaders in the field of learning and education, let's not discount that. What we've got plenty are praying for...Anyway, am excited to join HGSE and looking forward to the Open House.
  10. Hey, I am joining HGSE in Fall 2013. Looking to connect with other Harvard students who are joining in fall. I will be attending the open house on 7th & 8th April on campus. Hope to see some of you there. Goodluck!
