Okay, I realize I am 538943 weeks behind but HELP!
My transcripts were FINALLY received by SOPHAS today and my status has changed to "complete". What happens now? Do I need to do anything else/does the school finally get the application?

Okay, so I requested my transcripts be sent to SOPHAS about 10 days ago, and the website is still saying no transcripts have been received...does anyone know about how long that process usually takes just for transcripts to be received and accepted? Thanks!

Yeah. Michigan has a great program! Did you get scholarship from both of them?
I applied for Tulane's MSW/MPH so I'm still waiting to hear if I got into the MPH program before I'll hear about scholarships. For Michigan I'm doing their Peace Corps Masters International program so that gave me $20,000. I'm torn!
What about you have you made a decision??

Ughhhh, not yet! Right now I am torn between Tulane and Michigan. I'm hoping to know more after a visit to Michigan next month!

I haven't decided where I'm going yet, still waiting to hear back from 4 schools. As of right now UPenn is my first choice, but I can't really feel certain until I've heard from everywhere. Also I've been told that you can use financial aid from one school as leverage to get more than another - so if for some reason another school grants me more, I might be able to negotiate with Penn.
They emailed me a couple of weeks after I applied asking me to set up a skype interview. During the interview they told me I should hear within two weeks - they both called me and emailed me to check my app status online, where there was a decision letter uploaded.
Where did you check online? I've been accepted but can't find the letter online.

Thought I'd chime back in: I got my letter from Tulane today - it was the same letter from the email, just one sheet of paper and folded in a plain envelope. If I didn't already know I'd gotten in, I would've assumed I was rejected!

Did anybody apply and get into Pitt? I'm not applying until the next cycle, but I'm wondering how much money people are getting for the merit scholarships. I'm in-state and the tuition is still pretty steep!
I did! I got a merit scholarship but oddly they didn't say how much it was in my acceptance letter? I got in in November and have not heard a peep about financial aid. Not too impressed with their communication about that :/

I have a financial aid question. I applied to five schools and only one said that I got any type of aid in my acceptance letter. Does that mean that I got none at the others? Also I did submit the FASFA--when will I hear from the schools if that gave me anything??

YALL I AM FREAKING OUT, HENCE WHY I AM POSTING IN THIS FORUM.
You all are so far ahead of me...long story short, I got accept to Tulane's MSW program and then decided I wanted to do their joint MSW/MPH so I just submitted my SOPHAS application TONIGHT and I am super nervous because hello it is February. Their admissions are rolling, but do you think applying this late will hurt me?? I know that's the whole point of being rolling but I am NOT a last minute girl, I am an apply in October girl...what if it is too late. SOMEONE GIVE ME WORDS OF WISDOM PLEASE

Did anyone apply to the DU Dual Degree in Social Work and International Studies? If so, did you hear back from each school around the same time?

I applied to both and was accepted to the MSW program January 9. I was told we would hear about the international studies program in February by te director of admissions so within the month!!

Hi y'all!
I am currently deciding where to go for my MSW, and there is about a 99% chance I will be going to Tulane! That being said, a friend suggested I look into their MPH joint degree because I currently work with HIV-positive homeless clients and love it--I want to do something of that nature hopefully internationally for a living.
Anyway, the application process is a bit different and I'm nervous about two things. ONE, I have a 3.9 undergraduate GPA and am in my second year of AmeriCorps now. I also spent time in Uganda working on health issues with women--all of these things i think are in my favor. However, my GRE scores in math are abysmal. I am AWFUL. AWFULLLLL. at math. How important do you think these scores are?
Additionally, I saw that a statistics class once there is required. UM WHAT? Will I be able to survive this? Has anyone taken a graduate stats class and can tell me how terrible it is?

Finally got my last letter of recommendation submitted to complete University of Michigan's application. Having everything submitted is such a relief!
My head is telling me to apply to a back-up school, but UofM is my definite top choice. I'll be really disappointed if I don't get in and end up going to another school. I applied for advanced standing with my BSW and "should" get accepted (3.97 GPA, a letter of recommendation from a professor in UofM's program, and I worked on my statement all Summer), but there's always that chance of rejection. Based on snooping around these forums, it looks like UofM has decisions for Dec 1 applicants in mid February.
I'm crossing my fingers for everyone applying!
Good luck! UM is my top choice too, and even though I applied to other schools I can't help but feel like even if I get in other places Michigan is the only place I'll want to be. I hope February comes quickly for us!

Helpppppp! I applied to Tulane's MPH and they received my application March 17. I got an email from the department within the MPH I applied to 10 days ago saying they got my application and it was being reviewed. When I applied to Pitt, I got a decision in 9 days...is it too early to call and ask about my application's status...? I don't even know what you say on these phone calls. HELP.
