I heard back last week and did not get into the PhD program, but got into the master's program. They said that without a masters or public health experience, I was ineligible for the PhD program. Its ok though, at least I have a backup.

I agree with aapril, its not over until its over. I also have 4 programs that I haven't heard from and I know they haven't sent out any results at all yet. Have hope, some are just slower than others.

I got wait-listed at University of Chicago a few weeks ago and now got invited for a Skype interview tomorrow. Is this cause for hope? Or just more filtering? One thing is odd, I am interviewing with two faculty and one was the gentleman whom my first phone interview was with. Is this typical? Thanks! Has anyone heard anything about release of decisions from UIC?

Phone just rang during class from a number I didn't know. Heart raced and adrenaline kicks in...it was an old friend that wasn't saved in my phone. Ug!

Glad to hear you got into UIC, hopefully they will release other decisions soon. MammaD, you're right, at least there is a sign of life. I am sure your decisions will be up soon.

I am joining in the anxiety of waiting for results. Currently I have gotten into two masters programs that I have turned down due to the lack of any option for assistantships. Currently wait listed at both Harvard and University of Chicago epi programs. Did anyone else apply to University of Chicago? After my two interviews there this is my top choice, but I haven't heard of any others applying. Still waiting to hear from three schools, University of Denver, UIC, and Yale. Congrats to all who have gotten in! Best of luck to those still waiting!
