Rowboat47 Posted January 25, 2018 Posted January 25, 2018 Hi everyone! I have been invited to interview at Sacred Heart in February and I was wondering if anyone can share any info about interviewing there (i.e., types of questions asked, how formal it was in terms of dress, etc.). Thanks in advance
evf Posted January 25, 2018 Posted January 25, 2018 Congratulations!!! I went to their Open House and they mentioned it is a bit fast paced because they want to see how fast you could work and think. There is also a section where you are with other potential applicants and you are in a room and have to solve something (a specific case they give you). They also mentioned that you will be interviewed by various faculty and go in separate rooms (each faculty will be sitting in a room and then you move on to the next one). I did not end up applying to Sacred Heart but I hope this helps. I would wear dress pants and a nice top because after all it is like a "job" interview and you have to show them how professional you are. I am sure if you do a search you will find previous years applicants that share their experience. Best of luck!! Rowboat47 1
Rowboat47 Posted January 25, 2018 Author Posted January 25, 2018 @evf Thank you so much, your insight is much appreciated! This interview sounds like it will be very different from the job interviews I've had (particularly the problem-based learning part), but should be a good experience regardless.
evf Posted January 25, 2018 Posted January 25, 2018 I was referring to what to wear when I mentioned the job interviews Good luck
AlwaysaFalcon Posted January 25, 2018 Posted January 25, 2018 I interviewed twice at Sacred Heart University and @evf is absolutely right! That's exactly how it is. It wasn't that bad and it gave you an idea of what class would be like. Rowboat47 1
