thehegeldialectic Posted March 3, 2018 Posted March 3, 2018 (edited) Have any of you found stuff out by checking the online portal that you didn't find out via email or phone call? If so, for what school? Edited March 3, 2018 by iunoionnis
Duns Eith Posted March 3, 2018 Posted March 3, 2018 I didn't have a single case last year where I found out via portal before email or phone.
ThePeon Posted March 3, 2018 Posted March 3, 2018 (edited) In one case somebody found out about a rejection via the portal and posted it in the results thread, and then I checked and I was also rejected. The letter came the next day. That's the only instance, though. Edited March 3, 2018 by ThePeon
BL16 Posted March 3, 2018 Posted March 3, 2018 I found out about my acceptance to Ohio State by checking the online portal a day or two before receiving an email from the department.
MtnDuck Posted March 3, 2018 Posted March 3, 2018 My roommate found out about Cornell before getting the official email.
Stencil Posted March 6, 2018 Posted March 6, 2018 I never received an email from Yale, just checked the portal and found a rejection there. There wasn't some email that didn't make it past my spam filter either, the email was just never sent. Apparently a few other people experienced the same problem, but this definitely wasn't typical.
