bgk Posted February 11, 2008 Posted February 11, 2008 Hi Guys, Over the next few hours I'm going to create some subject specific forums. The current "menu" forums will become parents of those new forums. If that makes no sense, just wait a few hours and you'll see :-) I'll probably miscategorize a bunch of things, if you think so, let me know. Sorry for all these changes, but for the long run it is for the best!
rising_star Posted February 12, 2008 Posted February 12, 2008 I think biology might be a life science rather than a physical science...
bgk Posted February 12, 2008 Author Posted February 12, 2008 I think biology might be a life science rather than a physical science... .. you're right! I decided this was harder than I originally thought ... so things will be in a state of limbo for a few days.
rising_star Posted February 12, 2008 Posted February 12, 2008 When I click on the subforums, it doesn't actually display anything... Just the announcements. FWIW, this project may ultimately prove TOO difficult since there are poli sci threads about specific schools as well as general threads...

Never tell an Engineer that something is too difficult ... !

Sorry for all these changes, but for the long run it is for the best! I do suggest that History should belong under Humanities. Actually all of the 2008 Grad School discussion are done over there at Humanities, not Social Science.

rafnow Posted February 12, 2008 Posted February 12, 2008 Tiny suggestion: there's a semi-active "religion phd" thread underneath "waiting it out." Maybe that could be moved to the new "religion" subthread under the Humanities category.

rafnow Posted February 12, 2008 Posted February 12, 2008 Thanks bgk. Give 'em an inch they take a mile... Any chance we could get a little "religion" tag underneath the "humanities" thread like the other disciplines get (on the main forum page)?

Forgot to 'check the box' when I set it up yesterday. It's done now.
rafnow Posted February 12, 2008 Posted February 12, 2008 Excellent, thanks. Now if only we had some news to post...

rising_star Posted February 12, 2008 Posted February 12, 2008 I'm thinking that anthropology and sociology could both use their own subforums. Sociology hasn't been active but anthropology certainly has!
canwaitnomore Posted February 13, 2008 Posted February 13, 2008 Yes, please! We want to see Anthropology there!!! Thanks.
