Avemaria360 Posted July 24, 2018 Posted July 24, 2018 Hello everyone! I am looking a 4 year Ph.D. program fully funded with stipends. I have a BA in History and an MA in Journalism. Is it possible to find any not requiring a GRE? Thanks
1 E-P Posted July 28, 2018 Posted July 28, 2018 With respect, I think you might be approaching it from the wrong angle. Generally, the reason to do a PhD is to research. You can't do the research that you're interested in in all places. Therefore, you have to first figure out your research interests, then find out what universities have similar programs and professors doing that. Then, you figure out admissions requirements. So the real question is: What are you wanting to research, and where can you do that? p287 and NotAlice 2
0 HTM18 Posted July 28, 2018 Posted July 28, 2018 Almost all PhDs in the US are funded by the university itself when they offer you admission. This is the norm. GRE is the usual requirement for graduate school. Good Luck!
