No phone calls with POIs - should I worry?

In the history forum, people have mentioned having long phone calls with POI. None of the professors I've reached out to have offered a phone call- should I be worried? Or am I being over-dramatic?

I think you should be the one requesting the phone call. Saying something like "I'd be interested in discussing our mutual interests more over the phone sometime." They are busy people, so be mindful of their time, but you have to initiate.
