slp2be2018 Posted August 17, 2018 Posted August 17, 2018 I need a good, cute sturdy tote bag for grad school! I got a cheap one from target and after 1 week I can tell it’s going to fall apart. Any recommendations?
Jordyn_M463 Posted August 18, 2018 Posted August 18, 2018 I bought a Vera Bradley one from the outlet store (because they are cheaper if the pattern is discontinued)! They have a bunch of different sizes. I have 2 duffles and a cosmetic bag from there and they have held up for 6+ years so far. I would think that their totes would be the same! I just chose one that has thicker straps!
oroanthro Posted August 18, 2018 Posted August 18, 2018 I don't know if the aesthetic will appeal to you, but I love LL Bean bags. We got the backpacks when we were younger because you could walk home in an snowstorm backwards and your books would be fine. Their canvas totes are roomy, sturdy and easy to wash. I hope you find what you are looking for!
katherinexo Posted August 19, 2018 Posted August 19, 2018 There's a brand called Dagne Dover that make great coated canvas and leather totes. I love their backpack which is made of scuba material (idk what it's called lol). It's pretty expensive but I think it's worth the price Better than purchasing $30 bags that fall apart within weeks/months!
SpeechGal1234 Posted August 21, 2018 Posted August 21, 2018 North Face bags are reasonably priced and very sturdy! Lots of people in my grad program have them. I would highly recommend either of these. https://www.thenorthface.com/shop/equipment-backpacks-womens-backpacks/womens-jester-nf0a3kv8?variationId=EJK#hero=0 https://www.thenorthface.com/shop/equipment-backpacks-womens-backpacks/womens-borealis-nf0a3kv4?variationId=6VG#hero=0
