Tour Schools Before or After Acceptance?

Hello, all! I'm in the process of applying to programs for Fall 2019 and I'm aiming to go out of state. Does anyone have insight on if it is more beneficial to visit campus and receive a program tour before or after acceptance? I feel it could help me make a decision and I would have more specific and useful questions visiting after acceptance, but I can also see the benefit of knowing more about the overall vibe of the school and introducing myself to staff before my application has been reviewed. I can't afford the time and money to travel both before and after, especially since I would then turn around and spend a fortune actually paying for my relocation (I'd be moving from FL to NY). I'm trying to be smart but also cost effective.

Hi, I did all my visits based on who accepted me. It saved me money and time. It also helped me narrow down my choices. I received the best vibes from NYU and they offered me the most. So it was a win-win.
