crovanika Posted November 25, 2018 Posted November 25, 2018 Hello fellow applicants, I am planning to apply to several I/O PhD programs and have been working on drafts of my Statement of interest. I am very unsure about how they are turning out and I don't really have any professional at my disposal to help me. From what I have found online, I feel like I can't get a consistent idea of how a typical structure should look...how much personal history to include (if any) in the context of how it has influenced your career aspirations... etc. I am pretty nervous about this, as I feel like my GRE scores aren't going to impress anybody and the SOP is the only chance I have to persuade anyone to give me a shot. Has anyone come across an example of exceptional statements of interest? Or a useful guide on what to include? I understand it will be different for i/o compared to other areas. Thanks in advance for any help!
