Letters of Rec-SLP prereq professors

I have been out of school for a while. I am taking my SLP prerequisite and had asked a professor for a LOR. He said I needed to take at least 2 classes with him before he would write a letter. 

I have not taken any class with the same professor more than once at this point. Anyone else in the same boat?

That's frustrating! ? I haven't had a professor require I take two classes with her/him first, so I think maybe this guy just has a stick up... nvm, my point is, I think you won't find that with most professors you ask. Have you tried asking anyone else yet?

LOL, but it is very frustrating. I did ask other professors. My options are limited for SLP professors because I have only taken 5 classes and 3 are in progress.

Could you ask professors from outside SLP?

I agree. Some programs may be strict and require them to be all be CSD, but all of my LORs were Linguistics professors (actually, one was an SLP who taught communication disorders courses, but it was all part of the Linguistics department). Granted, that was my major, but if you have professors who taught related coursework that might still be fine.

When are you planning to apply? It also might be worthwhile to wait until you are done with your prereqs and see if any of those professors will help out.

You are right, most programs require CSD professors. I am applying for the Fall cycle.
