Graduate Research Assistantship

Question

Posted

I am completing a PhD application that doesn't allow me to upload a CV—I have to type my employment history, etc., into text boxes. I currently have a paid research assistantship at my grad school and was wondering if this should be listed under "graduate activities" or "occupational experience".

Thanks in advance!

Research activities, if there's one, otherwise graduate activities sounds right.

Did you have to apply for the RA position or was it given to you based on your matriculation into a program? If you had to apply, I would put it under occupational. Graduate activities to me sounds more like unpaid research and maybe heading up a club such as a student research group or the local chapter of an honors society.
