PennyForYourThoughts
Best of luck with your interview! I had mine with Mary Mazzola in December. It was very relaxed and friendly. She spent the first 10 minutes reviewing the program with me, then asked me questions about my resume/experience (which she had clearly read over), then asked if I had any questions about Penn/the program. She also asked a couple general interview questions like “What are your greatest strengths?” and “Why are you interested in Penn’s SP2 program?” The whole thing took about 45 minutes, and you find out about your admission within two weeks of the interview! mswclaire
I have my interview next week and I am so nervous. I am doing it in person since I have not seen the campus yet. I am applying straight out of undergrad so I dont have the experience as people who have worked a few years. I just completed a 110 hour practicum at a clinic and next semester i will complete a 300 hour internship at a Hospice. Collectively I am graduating with over 500 supervised social work experience. I am a double major in public health and human services with a minor in business and have a 3.4 GPA (i took some hard science classes for my public health major which lowered my GPA. I went to a competitive liberal arts school. Chances?
MSWgrl2019
I also have a 3.4 and coming out of undergrad, I am also a division 1 athlete. I had a 100-hour internship last year and have been at a residential treatment facility last semester and this semester. Like you I should be graduating with over 500 hours! I am specializing in Children and Families! Who is your interview with? I think we will be fine lol

Z.N.
My interview lasted 25 minutes... (it is scheduled for 45 minutes). I really thought I flunked the interview because it was so short and did not pick up any type of vibes while I was in there. The interviewer asked me no more than 6 questions and I thought she was just not feeling me. I read through several blogs and found that many people had their interviews after me and were receiving their acceptance letters before me. They were hearing back that same week! One girl said she heard back 4 days after her interview. Well yesterday... I received my acceptance letter for the advanced standing program. On top of a 15k scholarship. It was 10 days after I had my interview. I am still in disbelief. For those who are still eagerly waiting, hang in there and don't stress yourself out like I did. Good luck to all!!!
