Admission chances after recruitment event

Hi,

In general what are the odds of getting into a PhD program with funding if you were invited for a graduate recruitment event?  Has there been a case where a school paid for your visit and later on denied you admission into the program or is being invited for an open house subtly implying an automatic admission? Thanks

It depends on the school/program. You'll get a better answer by asking students from the program.
