LDmpp21 Posted January 13, 2020 Posted January 13, 2020 Hello all! I hope everyone has had a good application season for those who applied this year. I'll be applying for MPP programs this fall (to enroll in 2021). I'm mostly planning to apply to California programs (pretty much all of them - all the UCs plus USC and a few others). I studied Chemical Engineering, so I have a rigorous quantitative background, but I haven't taken any economics (other than a non-AP high school class). Is it worth the tuition to take an online microeconomics class before applying? It's one of the only things I've noticed is listed as a prereq, but most schools don't actually say it's *required* for admission. In case it's at all relevant (probably it isn't) I do have some familiarity with Econ through work experience, as I work with lots of economists. I also have a high quant GRE score. I'm very grateful in advance for any thoughts you all have! Thanks!
