I applied to PhDs for Fall 2020 but if I don't get accepted/funded anywhere I'd like to start thinking of backup plans that stay in the field. I have a BA and MA in Linguistics. I don't want all my years of schooling and coursework in Linguistics to go to waste! Just wondering if anyone has first-hand experience using formal linguistics outside of academia...
