Contacting a university who waitlisted you to convince them to give you a chance?

I got waitlisted by my top choice and was curious, is it odd to like maybe contact them to try and increase my chances of getting into the university? If so, how would I go about doing that if it is considered ok?

what do you have to loose? if i were at ur place i would try to think outside the box if i really wanted the admission, try to figure out a creative way to get in touch with them and at the same time that will make them reconsider their position perhaps? that would be my advice to you, anything that is ordinary and boring wont do it, so think, think, think ! ;)

Yep what you've got to lose? I contacted them to reaffirm that theirs is my top choice, I also attached my updated CV. Let's see how this goes, fingers crossed
