Hi Everyone.

I am debating between Pacific University, University of the Pacific, and SDSU/UCSD.

I am torn between three years and a huge debt or 4 years and less debt. I literally have no idea which program to accept and that fact that I have to make my decision like now is stressing me out. If you chose any of these programs woudl you mind sharing your reasons as to why you did?

Hi there! I was considering all those schools too and ended up choosing SDSU/UCSD and I’m super excited about it. I’ll send you a direct message with some of my reasons why :)

So I would like to hear advice from anyone who is willing to offer theirs. I have been waitlisted at three schools, these three are my top choices of all of the schools I have applied to. However, I have been accepted to a school that is not one of my top choices, I am not sure if I should accept the offer of admission, or if I should decline the offer and hope for the best with the waitlists I am on. Every opinion helps!

There are lots of factors to think about on this. Not an easy choice. Cost should be important, but not necessarily a deal breaker. Location and time in the program are also important. How long before school starts? Each school usually has requirements for financial aid deadlines. Is Pacific University your first choice and is that the school you wanted to attend?

I recently committed to WashU STL!!! I was taken off the waitlist and offered an interview last week! I got in and committed the next day! I am so so excited!!! Anyone else commit there? I would love to connect!

And congrats to everyone else committing!!! This is so exciting!

Is anyone here accepted to Pacific University and haven’t gotten back to them yet? Also, who here is remaining on their waitlist?

I too have accepted a tier 1 waitlist offer for Pacific University. Sounds like we should hear something after the April 15th deadline for those who received an official acceptance offer to accept or decline. Have you heard anything from the school yet? Good luck to you by the way!  Anyone else on here that is on Pacific University waitlist?

I'm Tier 2 waitlisted hoping to get in. Pretty much been rejected everywhere else (nothing new for me this is my 3rd time applying for AuD programs lol). Has anyone else heard from University of the Pacific? they havent contacted me since my interview in late February

It's incredibly difficult to get in to these programs. It's not just you. I didn't get accepted into my top choice. I'm sorry.

Pacific University is one of my top choices, the cost of the program is one of the few things that concern me. I have emailed Carmel Nicol and she did state that they will move onto the waitlist after April 15th (tomorrow), so I will most likely be checking my email every 5 minutes for the next few weeks LOL. She said that they are waiting to hear back from 8 more students and that "historically" they do move all the way to the tier 2 waitlist.

Just read the acceptance letters and declined a spot at Northwestern, Indiana, UConn, Northern Illinois University, Arkansas, and released my hold on the waiting list for Louisiana Tech. Some of the schools wanted an email with my decision and others wanted to hear if their offers are being accepted/rejected on their school's specific website/portal. All of the information was on the decision letters. I will not be attending any of those schools, and am hopeful someone on the waiting list for each of these schools receives an acceptance shortly! FYI, every one of those programs seemed great. It just didn't work out.

Thanks for the update on that. It is expensive for sure but I feel that the three year facilitated program and the quality of hands on instruction is worth it.  Good luck! If I hear anything back from Carmel as well, I promise to let you know.  ?

Just received an email from pacific telling me that they are now moving into tier 1 waitlist. It looks like a updated school generated email to all on the waitlist. Either way, it’s a good sign that we should hear something soon. I’m guessing that You probably received the same email.
