frequentist Posted October 30, 2020 Posted October 30, 2020 Hello Everyone, I took my GRE couple of days ago and got 326 (168 on Math and 158 on Verbal). I am applying for phd in statistics and I believe that my score on math section is fine for the most programs, but the verbal score is probably less than their average for good schools. Since I am an international student, I think I would not be judged too harshly on that verbal score but I just wanted to ask here. Should I submit these scores to schools like U Michigan, UT Austin who have made GRE optional?
CommunityPsych Posted October 30, 2020 Posted October 30, 2020 Hi, Nibesh. Those are pretty good scores, especially if English is not your native language. It is a tough decision, but I would not hesitate to report the scores. Perhaps if you do not report scores, then you can let the program know that you do have scores and will provide them if they would like additional information. Good luck!
bayessays Posted October 30, 2020 Posted October 30, 2020 I would definitely 100% submit those scores, no question.
UniformlyDivergent Posted January 27, 2021 Posted January 27, 2021 Doubt this is still relavent for OP anymore, but for posterity, if you're scoring over the 60 percentile, I would send the scores.
