formygradcafeposts Posted January 11, 2021 Posted January 11, 2021 Is Georgetown’s MA in American Government a well-regarded program? I somewhat get the feeling that it’s a professional/for-profit degree despite being in Georgetown’s Department of Government. In other words, is the MA in American Government a prestigious program? I was admitted to the Fletcher School at Tufts a year ago and chose not to attend. In terms of prestige, how do the two compare? I know Fletcher is well-respected within the IR community, but most people I speak with outside of that industry have either not heard of Tufts or don’t consider it on the level of Georgetown. formygradcafeposts Posted January 14, 2021 Author Posted January 14, 2021 I have an update on this topic. After doing some more research and hearing from people with knowledge of Georgetown’s MA in American Government, my fears have been alleviated. It appears to be a legitimate program with great outcomes. GradSchoolGrad and van_96 1 1
