Has anyone heard from American University's Justice, Law and Criminology PhD Program?

Here from the decision page! I’ve never seen this forum section but I think starting one on the criminology section would help. This doesn’t come up in the criminology section when I search.

Update: I posted it there as well and hope some people will respond. Also hoping to hear back before the end of the work day but it's looking kinda grim right now Only 20 minutes before the end of the work day

I wonder if they will post sometime tonight? Either way, I guess I'll just sit here and constantly refresh the portal lol

It looks like someone heard back from them on Feb 24th

I heard off the record that the department hardly had funding this year and that they could only take 3 applicants. wish they could have let us know earlier today too.

Interestingly I haven't come across other people hearing back earlier (online or through word of mouth). I'm jealous of the person who received an update last week haha

Yeah it's apparently a pretty tough season this year! Let's hope we all find something out tmrw because at this point, I just want to get it over with either way ?

I hadn't heard any response yet, so I reached out about admissions decisions. I got this reply: 

"Thank you for your inquiry. We have discovered that since you created a number of duplicate applications our application system deleted many of the duplicates automatically. We have retrieved your files and have now combined the necessary supplemental items into one. We will advance the file for review next week and hope to have a quick decision to you regarding status."

I did have ONE duplicate account that I accidentally created when I forgot that I had already started one (plus, there application site is not the most user friendly/intuitive). I tried to delete it but never found any way to do that but I never added any information or supplemental items to it. Plus, I only *submitted* one application and I submitted it in time, so this seems like a pretty big glitch on their end. 

Wanted to share in case anyone else isn't seeing a response but had the same issue with duplicate applications. Good luck!
