sabs123
Hello! I hope that this is the right place to ask this question. I'm currently looking for schools in the U.S. with strong courses/a big emphasis on speculative and fantasy fiction. So if a school has a strong creative writing program but doesn't have a focus on speculative/fantasy fiction, I would not be looking for it here. (I'm definitely keeping my options open though and it won't be my only deciding factor!) Getting really specific, classes on fantasy world building/culture building are really what I'm looking for but I'm open to absolutely anything that has a focus on popular fiction. Nightwitch
Hi! I was wondering if you had found any leads? I did hear that Uni of East Anglia has a fantasy course, and a creative writing course, but both are different streams. I think you could join CW and take fantasy electives, if that helps
xenawins
Purdue's current graduate students seem to reflect an interest/support for speculative and science fiction. https://cla.purdue.edu/academic/english/gradstudies/creativewriting/graduatestudents.html Here's another list: https://stephgrossman.com/2019/06/21/mfa-programs-that-are-chill-with-speculative-fiction/
