Hey! I haven't received anything yet. I was looking at last years forum and results came out around March 4th last year. I wonder what is taking so long

Hi, I still haven’t heard back yet. I don’t think they sent out results yet. I emailed Todd (program coordinator) and waiting to hear back from him.

I think some people may have been admitted last Friday but I emailed the admissions office last week and they start uploading letters now and continue into March, April, and sometimes later months! Good luck everyone!

Ohhhh how do u know they admit people last Friday? Did u see people posting in any of the forums?

If I'm remembering correctly I think I saw two people post that they were admitted to OISE last Friday...but I've been reading so many of these posts, it's possible I might be confusing that with another program!?

Ohhh makes sense. Hopefully we’ll hear back soon. I wonder if they send the acceptances all at once (same day) or do it periodically

Yeah the got back to me right away and told me that they will start uploading letters within the weeks to come and into march, April and sometimes later months! Oh but they also said if you submitted a complete application by the due date (November 15), then you should receive your decision sometime in March!

I know I was wondering about that as well! I saw someone called the OISE Admissions office yesterday and they said they haven't sent out any acceptances yet! Hopefully we all hear back soon!

I haven't received anything as yet. My application still says "submitted." I've seen other people from past years had options like "submitted" and "under review." I'm really looking forward to the news!

Same here, mine also says submitted, I actually applied to both streams but guess we will see.

I exchanged emails with the program coordinator now, and this is what she stated :

 

Hello,

Thank you for your e-mail,

The applications are still being reviewed. The decisions are not made yet. this year we are a little bit behind. So, we appreciate your patience.

Is this everyone's first time applying? I thought I heard somewhere it was hard to get into this program on your first try, which was a tad discouraging.

It is my first time applying, let's not feel discouragement yet. We still have a chance and they're still reviewing. The great thing too is that what might be true for one person may not even apply to another. It's important to stay hopeful and believe in our abilities. At the same time, a backup plan is also reaffirming.

I received an email today from OISE and they said they still have not made decisions and we will most likely hear back in April. 

 

Although they told me that, I can’t stop checking. I guess it has become a habit.

woww, I guess they're really behind this year, by this time last year they had given out many decisions. We'll need to wait and be patient i guess. 

 

If anybody gets a decision, please do kindly notify  Good luck to all of us.

I was looking too - I think that it was for other APHD programs. But still... same department? Hopefully we hear something soon. I'm so antsy I think I check the portal like 6 times a day

Thanks for the update! Did they email you in response to an email you sent? Or did they send it independently? Wondering because I haven't heard from them at all since submitting the application - even though I have sent an email or two between then and now ?

OISE just emailed me today to let me know that they started releasing admission decisions last week and are continuing on a rolling basis. I don't know what that means for our specific program applications, but hopefully the decisions will start coming in this week! Fingers crossed for everyone!
