Should I accept OGS while I'm on the waitlist for CGSM?

Hi everyone,

I was awarded with OGS, but I'm still on the waitlist for CGSM (CIHR). I'm assuming I'd be removed off the waitlist the moment I accept OGS? I obviously want to see if I get off the waitlist for CGSM, but I'm not sure if it's realistic or even worth it, since I don't even know why someone would decline an incredible scholarship!

Yes, that's what you're supposed to do in this situation. If you are worried, ask whoever deals with scholarships at your institution.

You can still put on your CV that you were an alternate and declined to be considered for the award.
