love2write247 Posted August 23, 2010 Posted August 23, 2010 So I started this little business where I help people with personal statements (editing, critiquing, making sure you don't sound dumb or stuck up) for cheap cheap cheap. I'm good at writing, I got into Brown undergrad and Boston Univ grad and I have a lot of experience with this type of thing working with admissions offices and interning at a college admissions company. I'm looking to be a writer, but I'll start here with free lance. Anyway, here is the website: http://collegepersonalstatementhelp.weebly.com/ and if you want to email me directly, its: love2write247@gmail.com tskinner, Jenn Flannie and schoolpsych_hopeful 1 2
Eigen Posted August 23, 2010 Posted August 23, 2010 I'll go ahead and throw it out there, but to me a personal statement is, well, personal. It shows a lot of who you are and where you're at in life by how it's written. It's always seemed kind of, well, off to me to get someone (especially payed) to do more than a quick read over of it. But that's just my opinion.
tskinner Posted August 23, 2010 Posted August 23, 2010 I would just inform people that there are PLENTY of people on this board, myself included, who are willing to edit/look over your SOP/PS for free.
bgk Posted August 24, 2010 Posted August 24, 2010 Not sure I want people advertising those kind of services here.
