Congratulations! Same here, any news about funding?

Congratulations to you too! Nope hhhhh. But I might start looking at their website for info later this week or next week, and also shoot them an email about it.

Does anyone known what's the difference between an offer and a decision letter? For instance, some people have received offers for Stanford MA's EALC programme -- but when i went to check in with them on my application status, they told me that decision letters have not been sent out yet and nothing has been finalised. Any reason behind the discrepancy?

Maybe they are doing multiple rounds of it? Some schools send out all their decisions around the same time, but some send them in different times. I got mine last Friday, I wonder when did HGereat got theirs, which might help.

I got mine last Friday as well, I guess they hold different rounds?

Haven't heard from harvard but I did not receive an interview so I assume its a rejection.

If I'm rejected by Harvard EALC, is it possible to be referred to the MA program? Or does Harvard not do that at all?

Harvard has an independent RSEA MA program and its EALC Department doesn't have its own MA. RSEA MA result will be out by mid-March.

As far as I remember, some (but not all) EALC rejects will be transferred to RSEA MA, but the transfer is not guaranteed.

Thanks for the info! I already have an MA but not in east asian studies... I might take their MA offer if thats why I am rejected by most schools...

Does anyone know if uPenn's ealc MA is rolling? I've heard of a few letters of rejection, but I haven't heard anything myself so far.

Yes, they do fall and spring admission as well.

I'm not 100% sure, but I think the acceptances are all out for Harvard unfortunately. :( Hopefully I'm wrong but my POI had told me a couple weeks ago acceptances would be released on Feb 17, and from personal experience it turned out to be true.

Still waiting to hear from ten programs. At this point, if I'm going to be rejected (as I expect is the case) I'd rather just know, so that I can move on and start making plans. Anyway, best of luck to everyone!

Who else here has applied to Princeton's EAS program and hasn't had any interviews (like me)? I am really not waiting for anything else but the rejection letter to come, but before it actually gets here, you know, that 0,0000001% of "maybe" just won't leave me alone.

Me! I hear ya; the wait is agonizing. Like I said earlier, if I'm rejected I'd just like to know.

And you still have ten programs to hear back from! Hang in there. Let‘s keep hoping this week's the week... or at least that this month's the month. It'd be nice to give March a clean slate.

I also applied, and had no interviews. My poi told me that if I did not get an interview, then unfortunately, I am not on their list. I take that as a (silent) rejection.

Alas, I don't have any offer now and must consider taking either a second MA (mostly without funding at this point) or a gap year. I'm not sure if it is necessary for an applicant to hold a degree in US/UK/Canada/other English-speaking countries, as I am somewhat reluctant to take another MA considering tuition fees. What might be you guys' suggestion on this? Thanks!

Hi, there! Hope you are going great despite the nervousness of these days. Just writing to update that I just got my rejection from Princeton University (EAS). And yesterday, another rejection from UC Davis (Comp Lit). Now only one left, but at least, I got one acceptance and that is all we need, right? Good luck to all of you!

Rejected by Princeton. Not surprised in the least, but given that I wasn’t interviewed at all, they at least could have told me sooner. Oh well! Onward. Good luck, everyone!

Well, UCLA is a bust, despite my having interviewed with them. Seven rejections in a row, now! Good luck to you all and keep your spirits up!

Sorry to hear and I hope that out of the remaining ones you get the one that best fits you. How many more schools are you waiting on?

Thanks for your kind words! I'm still waiting to hear from eight schools, including my BA and MA institutions.

Haven't heard back from U of T! Got notifications from Yale EAS and Chicago MAPH late last week though, if anyone else was waiting for results.
