PhD Fall 2023 | HCI and Information

Hi guys, I wanted to start a thread about HCI (or HCDE, HCC, ...) and Information (or Informatics). 

Would be glad to know if there are any people like me who are (anxiously) waiting for interview emails or news about being accepted/rejected.

 

Starting with me, I got rejected by UW iSchool in early January like a lot of people did. 

I had an interview with a POI (I can't name who) on Jan 18 from UW HCDE. 

No news from other schools yet (Jan 19): CMU, GT, Michigan, Irvine, Berkeley, Cornell, Northwestern (TSB), Maryland, Indiana, and Colorado Boulder.

In a similar situation! No word yet from Berkeley, Michigan, Cornell, Northwestern (TSB) and Irvine. I did receive an interview invite from Maryland a few days ago (an informal reach-out from a PI), but that's about it.

Hi! I received interview invites from UW (iSchool and HCDE) and Northeastern (PHI) and conducted interviews with POI.

Similarly, I haven't heard from Media Lab, Cornell, Northwestern (TSB), Stanford (CS), and UBC (CS) yet

The same here. Awaiting interview calls from GTech, NYU, UCSD, Emory, Pitt, Indiana Bloomington. Had an informal meeting with a PI from Pitt.

I've similarly been rejected from UW iSchool but had an informal interview with a Maryland POI a couple days ago.

Waiting to hear back from Penn (CS), Cornell CIS, Michigan, Berkeley, Illinois, Irvine and Oxford OII.

I see that there are a couple of Berkeley Info Science interview results posted, does anyone happen to know if all interview invites have gone out already?

Nothing so far from UC Berkeley, UW (HCDE), UMich, Cornell, Northwestern (TSB), and U of Colorado Boulder.

I see that some have received interview requests from some of these schools, now I feel nervous!

Rejected by Stanford CS (HCI track). Yet to hear from CMU HCII.

I am in a similar situation, no replies from any universities yet though
