snbjsdw
My general GPA is only3.35 but freshmen year is 2.8, sophomore year 3.4, and junior year 3.9 Can I include them in SOP or CV to indicate that I am hard-working or I have potential to be the best? Thanks~!! Edited September 30, 2010 by snbjsdw

Thanks~!! It can't hurt to point out the upward trajectory, but I wouldn't devote a paragraph to it. Just a sentence stating that your GPA progressively improved would be sufficient, if you choose to include it.

adaptations
At most I would mention it in one sentence, but you probably don't even need to do that. I assume you will submit your transcript to any schools you apply to, and the admissions committees will easily be able to see the upward trend for themselves. Thanks~!! Adcomms love to see that upward trend so they will definitely take into consideration that you got 3.9 in your junior year. If it's on your transcript then I don't think you need to mention it in your SoP, but if you did it would be to frame how hard you worked and you shouldn't use more than one sentence as everyone else says. I think you are right. In my transcript there is only general GPA, but I guess they can see the upward trend through my scores. So I will reconsider whether to include GPA in SOP. Thanks!
