For 2010, they have all been rejections for Northwestern; no acceptances. Thus my astonishment... anyone want to claim an admit?

Well, poliscijobrumors isn't exactly the most reputable place... I discovered that site before this one, and the behaviour on that board is mostly juvenile - a lot of anonymous trolls and general nastiness.

I received a really ambiguous letter from Wash U today. And I can't really tell whether it's a wait list or a rejection. Can someone tell me what their rejection letter or waitlist letter said?

What did it say? I've applied to UW also, but no news yet.

One rejection of UC Berkeley is posted and it's "rejected via other." What does other mean? In person?

It states in the notes section: "Nothing official but judging by acceptances a couple days ago and the patterns from past years, I'm assuming I'll get the rejection email within ten days."

Basically the person is just assuming they will be rejected.

In this case, I guess it's speaking of American/theory, for not many comparatives have come out.

Hey there,

I need some help from those who applied to Northwestern.

I've just checked their graduate admission tracking system which directed me to their online application website by telling me that they have made their decision.

But I simply can't find the link to their admission decision. Where is it?????

Cheers

OK, so when you log into ApplyYourself, you should be at the 'Applicant Status Page'. At the bottom, below the list of recommenders, there should be a 'Decision Status', with a link which will pop-up a letter. If it's not there, I don't know what's wrong.

Hope that helps.

On the result page there is a WashU acceptance!! Anyone claiming it?

God, that's my favorite school.

Thanks a lot. But I guess my link it's just not there. I still hope it's a good sign!

No problem. I'm thinking it is a good sign, since the large batch of rejections they sent in the last couple days seems to be a 'first cut' of sorts. So you're still in the game!

They may not read the polisci board.

You must be super-quant. Did you apply to Stanford GSB?

No i did not. I gave it a look, and at the time it seemed to be too much about economics. I have a marginal interest for political economy but not strong enough to apply to Stanford GBS.

How is it going? Any good news from the schools? I always miss something because of the time lag.

Just got dinged at Northwestern. Apparently the carnage is not over.

Apologies, bruv.

Fridays always freak me out for these application results, as it seems more likely that we'll hear something. Dunno about you guys, but I'm on edge all day.

I agree! I keep thinking we'll hear back from UCSD soon... last year, they admitted by the second week in Feb., it seems.
