Hi all! Still undecided on whether to apply for Fall 2025 or wait for next year, so I'm just trying to gauge my chances and would appreciate your help! I have an MSc and 2 years of experience in pharma research in industry, and I'm a bit unsure about whether an MPH or PhD would be better for me if I want to keep both the industry and academia doors open - any thoughts? Although I don't have much lab experience I was lucky enough to publish a paper based on my thesis on a >100 impact factor medical journal, so I'm hoping this will compensate for my lack of experience

Yea i have submitted applications for Fall 2025 phd public health programs. What schools have you applied to?

Hey! I applied to 15 programs and I submitted my applications around Thanksgiving. My first choice is Drexel because my research focus is urban health and urbanization. I’m so anxious to hear back, hopefully I hear some good news in a couple of months🤞🏾🤞🏾🤞🏾

I only applied to one program this year, UCI EHS PhD. I just received an interview invite with 2 professors (who are not who I identified in my statement). Does anyone know much about their admissions process?

Hi! I applied to the PhD in Public Health Policy and Management at Johns Hopkins and still haven't heard back BUT I got at interview request for NYU Public Health Policy and Management this afternoon!!

I've applied for Hopkins but haven't heard back 😕 Apparently, someone shared in the Grad Cafe results that they got an interview from Hopkins 🥲

Oh, I thought NYU sent rej before interviews....I haven't heard back from either NYU or JHU. Super nervous as I just created the NYU GPH application portal and emailed the admission office for inquiries _(:з」∠)_

Oh, I didn't know that! Is that how NYU operates: send rejections, then conduct interviews with some applicants? So, there's hope for us?

If the information is correct...I saw that rejs were out last week (from the info-sharing sheet), and I heard the same for programs at the Vilcek...they didn't clarify which department, but I assume the health policy and management one should be in the GPH?

The admission office just replied that they had not completed the interview selection process... so fingers crossed, I guess 🙏

Oh gosh, I'm crossing our fingers for us!

I don’t want to overthink this, but is it possible to still be accepted without an interview at this point? I spoke with a professor at another university who mentioned that applicants they’re interested in but have questions about their applications are typically interviewed. Now this is me inferring; those they’re confident about might receive acceptances directly?

For NYU GPH, their Q&A section says that an interview is a part of the selection process.

Has anyone heard from Brown Epi? Looks like there are interview invites on the spreadsheet. Is it one round of interview invites or multiple?

Just got an interview request from Brown's Health Services Research. The interview day is Jan 21 joint with epi, biostats, behavioural and social sciences. Not sure if its one round or multiple
