I did send a thank you email right after being places on the waitlist to express my gratitude and excitement, but that was over a month ago now. Waitlist movement should start happening sometime next week or the week after I would bet (once most if not all of schools have released their decisions and funding info so folks can start making choices.) 

 

According to the vets in draft, about then is when you can reach back out to reaffirm your interest and excitement about the program. It helps if you already have an acceptance already—then you can let them know that you have other offers but still have their program as a first choice. Just be wary of telling more than one program they’re the top. 
 

My first year when I had 1 waitlist and 0 acceptances in my reaffirmation of interest email I made sure to mention that I was taking a workshop class to prepare for entering the cohort should a spot open up. (Didn’t get me off the waitlist but it was worth a shot 😂)

same. mondays have been historically big for news so i’m half expecting it today

can we assume that by now brown is a soft rejection? or could they be calling/sending out waitlists today as well?

Haven't heard anything on waitlists. It's possible those went out already though it's equally possible they'll show up today. I think acceptances are done, personally.

ok ok I know the data is flawed but it does look like in past years they called a few people in advance & accepted others via email on the same day they released other decisions. it does feel healthier for me to brace for rejection - but we only know of one phone call to fiction.

currently at 8? soft rejections, which feels like a crazy high number-- i'd have expected more "confirmed" rejections to have rolled in by now? hoping to get at least some of those this week (if only for the sense of closure).

 Rutgers camden is my last school that hasn’t sent out acceptances and i just want it to be done with so i can start figuring out what to do

FELT. I'm at mostly soft rejections with the exception of one school that (maybe?) sent me into a final decision round. Once I hear from that school I can pretty safely call the season done but I have no idea when they're going to notify.

Looks like my Iowa rejection letter is finally coming in the mail today. Might get a frame for it. Put it up in the living room.

My Iowa rejection letter got lost in the mail a few years ago 😕 such a bummer I held out hope for so long because I wasn't on the draft or forum lol

I wish we could opt out of the snail mail rejection letters. I'd much rather either have my portal update or not hear anything at all. My letter is also going to my mom's address whenever it shows up and there's just something extra embarrassing about that haha

Whereabouts are you located if you don’t mind sharing? I’m in CA and I fear it'll take until the end of the week to get it if they just went out this Saturday. USPS shows 4 days from Iowa to CA for First-class Mail 😩
