LORs: 1 from a TRIO SSS advisor who I have worked with closely as an ambassador, TA, and with the creation of an education club at my university, 1 from a professor and mentor who I have had a class with and have worked on research with, and one from my boss where I work in the university's center for teaching and learning.
Other info: I am an undergraduate student who will be graduating this upcoming spring and will be graduating a year early. Worried that might be a negative on my application.

Hello everyone! I applied this term and I would love to connect with others during this waiting season

Program/Concentration: ELOE/ Literacy and Language
GRE: 166/157/5.0
Work experience: Coming straight out of undergrad but took a gap year after junior year to run my own education startup. Three years working as an ESL teacher at a local academy. 
Undergrad: BA in Political Science
Undergrad GPA: 3.8
Research: Conducted a comprehensive analysis of writing textbook for L2 students as part of my undergrad coursework. Attended research workshops and learned research methodologies using MAXQDA software.
LORs: 2 from professors from my undergrad, 1 from a supervisor of an education outreach program. 
Other info: International student!

Hi everyone, I'm wondering if anyone has received a PhD interview invite yet? In the past few years, it seems like they sent out invites between the 3rd and the 4th week of January. I'm so nervous now.

@avocadodo and @k101 I'm glad to see there are some here that applied to the PhD program. Did you also apply for the Edm referral? I've heard that admissions will most likely come out next week also, most likely Wednesday. Feel free to DM me if any of you want to talk through the wait! My fingers are crossed for you, @avocadodo, @k101, @T_Rex_215, and everyone else that applied for the Ph.D. and Ed.L.D. programs! I hope you all get the EXCELLENT news from HGSE in the coming days. 🙂

Hi! I applied to the Ed.L.D. Program and I haven’t heard about interviews yet so wondering if anyone else has/when to expect it? 
 

These are my stats:

Program/Concentration: Ed.L.D.
GRE: Have not taken, not planning to take
Work experience: 4 years (took a break after my first year to get my MA) and currently a high school English/sped teacher (also teaching dual credit at the school) and an adjunct professor 
Undergrad: BA in Education (English/SPED)
Undergrad GPA: 3.7 (I think)

Graduate: MA in Shakespeare Studies (Kings College London)

Graduate GPA: 3.8 (I think) 
Research: Have an article published in the NJEA review from 2020 about continuing to teach Shakespeare and my dissertation from 2022
LORs: 1 from each of my 2 supervisors (but one submitted hers on 12/29) and 1 from my coteacher who is also an adjunct professor but at Rutgers and MSU

Other Info: not sure if it counts for anything but I also taught in London while I was studying

Hi, @ssbELAI applied to the PhD program, and from what I've seen admissions/interviews may come out this upcoming week. For the EdLD programs, I've seen them come out until early February but I have not been keeping track as much with that program.
