So the March updates have been: 3/13, 3/18, 3/19, 3/25, and 3/26? This is more than previous years, right? Whaaat is happening.

I didn't get 3/26 update. 2020/21 also had similarly many March updates. Only one agency makes the final decision on award/waitlist/reject leading to different dates at different stages (3/13, 3/18, 3/19), (3/25, 3/26). I think there could be a potential 3/27 update (if two branches hadn't coincided dates) before a final notification on Friday 3/28.

Do we think that not receiving 3/25 or 3/26 updates is a bad sign? I'm still on 3/18...

I'm looking at the 2020/21 which is the closest pattern with most data. Not a bad sign because many people with one March update got selected. However, all people who were not selected or waitlisted given a March update had a single update.

Just saw a 3/26 update...totally agree that they are working through different branches/disciplines/etc. I didn't have an update when I checked this morning.

Me too.

Same, ARO Biotech, last update 3/18. Pain.

Do you guys think there is still a chance for people with a march update but didn't get an update on 03/25 or 03/26?

@rivershen25 Yeah, there definitely is. Even if the dates did mean anything, I think @guavalava provided good reasoning how there might be a 3/27 update. But overall, the dates probably don't mean much. It's unlikely that everyone who got these late March notifications are all going to get it, because that's almost an unlikely large fraction of us (I know the prior discussion on the possible correlation but again that's hardly conclusive). We're just sharing data bc we're all grasping at straws here, but otherwise in the grand scheme of things the spread of dates probs just says more about your agency than you. We just gotta sit tight for the rest of the week!

It definitely feels discipline and agency-related. No one from ARO Biosciences/Biotech/BME got an update past 3/18, while the updates coming in on 3/26 seem to be mainly materials science apps/engineering-related disciplines from across agencies.

Agreed. I bet we all get an update today and then results tomorrow.

Computer science here. No update since 1/28. Don't think that bodes well for me....

Can anyone in CS confirm getting a March update?

@bayernuard I got 2 March updates (ONR CS)

@Walthus Thanks for the update! I'm ARO not ONR, but still, I think that means I'm def out of the running lol. Sounds like the ARO updates happened the week of the 18th... Sad.

I’m coping hard, but I’m not going to be convinced that we aren’t getting it until the fat lady herself sings. There’s no way that only one person here from both of our disciplines gets awarded.
