Expand On 3/26/2025 at 2:58 PM, tacinmosh said: So the March updates have been: 3/13, 3/18, 3/19, 3/25, and 3/26? This is more than previous years, right? Whaaat is happening. Expand I didn't get 3/26 update. 2020/21 also had similarly many March updates. Only one agency makes the final decision on award/waitlist/reject leading to different dates at different stages (3/13, 3/18, 3/19), (3/25, 3/26). I think there could be a potential 3/27 update (if two branches hadn't coincided dates) before a final notification on Friday 3/28. walrus416 Posted Wednesday at 03:26 PM Posted Wednesday at 03:26 PM Do we think that not receiving 3/25 or 3/26 updates is a bad sign? I'm still on 3/18...
phys0797 Posted Wednesday at 03:36 PM Posted Wednesday at 03:36 PM I hope not. Although, the last time I received my 3/18 update, it was in the afternoon, so I wouldn't feel any sort of way until end of day today. NannerG 1

Expand I'm looking at the 2020/21 which is the closest pattern with most data. Not a bad sign because many people with one March update got selected. However, all people who were not selected or waitlisted given a March update had a single update. NannerG 1
AstroGator Posted Wednesday at 03:52 PM Posted Wednesday at 03:52 PM Just saw a 3/26 update...totally agree that they are working through different branches/disciplines/etc. I didn't have an update when I checked this morning. guavalava 1

ThreeSpringrolls Posted Wednesday at 04:14 PM Posted Wednesday at 04:14 PM ARO Biotechnology, last update is still 3/18... Hopefully I either see an update later today or tomorrow.
adsflow42 Posted Wednesday at 04:34 PM Posted Wednesday at 04:34 PM 03/26 update (ARO chemical engineering)... did not recevie the 03/25 update.

htf2006 Posted Thursday at 12:38 AM Posted Thursday at 12:38 AM @rivershen25 Yeah, there definitely is. Even if the dates did mean anything, I think @guavalava provided good reasoning how there might be a 3/27 update. But overall, the dates probably don't mean much. It's unlikely that everyone who got these late March notifications are all going to get it, because that's almost an unlikely large fraction of us (I know the prior discussion on the possible correlation but again that's hardly conclusive). We're just sharing data bc we're all grasping at straws here, but otherwise in the grand scheme of things the spread of dates probs just says more about your agency than you. We just gotta sit tight for the rest of the week! confessionsofaphysicsgeek, phys0797, rivershen25 and 3 others 5 1
