Out of curiosity, how/why did people choose a specific DoD agency versus selecting "applies to multiple agencies"?

My research only fit well with the AFRL BAA. Also the application says you can only pick one but then has "applies to multiple agencies" which has always confused me.

I see, I was also confused about this. My research applies to BAAs from all 3 agencies. It also allows you to choose multiple and rank them in that drop down menu. I interpreted it as "choose only one from the drop down menu options", but you could easily also interpret this as "choose only one DOD agency". Hopefully choosing applies to multiple doesn't come back to bite me

Quick question for my curiosity mainly, but are y’all going into a graduate program or already attending one?

2nd Yr, Only time applying, wrote on a bnAb which DoD isn't the biggest fan of, so shouldn't have gotten hopes up, but at least we all tried lol.

It seemed like in the prior years administered by Sysplus (I think 23-24, 20-21), the portal was updated with selections on the Friday of the week of the "second batch" of March updates (i.e., 3/25-26 for us). I took a leaf from one of the prior years' commenters and called the NDSEG PMO office. I was redirected from the number on the website to the Program Manager's direct line, but she didn't pick up. I suppose that means she's busy, so I won't call again, but just sharing that I did try it. I'd imagine even if ~1% of the applicants try calling that's some 80 calls/day asking the same Q from her pov lmao.

I applied for "Cyber Sciences", and also interpreted pick one as pick one of the options, and IMO the cyber sciences applied kind of uniformly so I chose "applies to multiple agencies".

I got my last update on 1/30. I haven't seen anyone apply in cyber sciences earlier in the convo. Is it possible there still might be updates rolling out, or am I out of the running?

@AstroGator Your row says selected on the spreadsheet, when did your status update to selected?I'm not sure late March updates are a strong indicator this cycle since so many are getting them. There could be another round of updates this week.

No idea how that got changed but most certainly an error! Just (re)checked and mine still says “Under Evaluation”. Caution is definitely warranted when trying to predict anything from these updates. Hopefully (real) news soon!

Agreed - another round of updates and/or some deviation from previous years.
