Hi! I'm an international student and I would love to hear updates from people who applied to TESOL or Applied Linguistics programs.

How many schools?

Interview, unofficial acceptance, acceptance or rejection?

Let's know.

Here's mine:

Ohio University: Applied Linguistics

Illinois Carbondale: TESOL

Missouri State University: TESOL

This is my first time applying to grad programs, so I’m definitely feeling all the nerves. I applied to three TESOL programs this cycle—Arizona State University (where I’ve already been accepted), The American University in Cairo (I just interviewed), and the University of Alabama (still waiting to hear back).

I applied to a few TESOL programs this cycle as well. So far I've only heard back from one school with an unofficial acceptance, while the others are still under review. The waiting is honestly the hardest part, especially since every university seems to have a different timeline. Ohio University and SIU Carbondale were both on my list at one point too. Hopefully we'll start seeing more decisions come out over the next few weeks.
