ProfB24 Posted January 10, 2025 Posted January 10, 2025 Hi! I'm an international student and I would love to hear updates from people who applied to TESOL or Applied Linguistics programs. How many schools? Interview, unofficial acceptance, acceptance or rejection? Let's know. Here's mine: Ohio University: Applied Linguistics Illinois Carbondale: TESOL Missouri State University: TESOL

tr1stan.jay Posted November 20, 2025 Posted November 20, 2025 This is my first time applying to grad programs, so I’m definitely feeling all the nerves. I applied to three TESOL programs this cycle—Arizona State University (where I’ve already been accepted), The American University in Cairo (I just interviewed), and the University of Alabama (still waiting to hear back).
Rizwan Posted June 4 Posted June 4 Hi. I have some questions about TESOL. If you are still active here, please let me know.

So far I've only heard back from one school with an unofficial acceptance, while the others are still under review. The waiting is honestly the hardest part, especially since every university seems to have a different timeline. Ohio University and SIU Carbondale were both on my list at one point too. Hopefully we'll start seeing more decisions come out over the next few weeks.
