I am a second-year math and physics double major, and I am finishing up group theory this week. I've liked all of my other math courses so far (Calculus 1-3, ODEs, Linear Algebra, Stats) except for group theory. To be honest, group theory has been my least favorite course in all of university; nothing about it interests me, and I also don't understand it at all. Will this be a problem in the future? I am planning on focusing on dynamical systems and scientific computing in the future. All of my undergraduate research so far has been some type of scientific computing (ML and mathematical/computational modeling). Thanks!
