I’m just not the best at expressing orally what I actually think especially under stress so I feel like I answered a bit off the mark to questions that were already a bit tricky haha. Also I am not from the US nor from a prestigious school so from the 9 others who got an interview I don’t feel the most confident also it’s a shame that not so much people are on gradcafe, I would love to have their experience too. I'm sure that they're used to people feeling anxious and not answering perfectly! plus, not being from the US/prestigious school only makes it more impressive that you got an interview, they probably value that about you, it makes you a super unique candidate! Also if you want to speak with someone who went through the same process, many current students are on social media and they might be able to talk with you I didn't get an interview but tbh I didn't expect one at all ahah I don't think I really fit the profile of a media lab student, I'd like to get more experience in tangible installations and research before applying again! CD has finished their interviews, and TM has made a decision on a candidate. lovelylife Posted February 6 Posted February 6 Every group has a different interview timeline; it all depends on the PI’s schedule. TM just finished interviews this week. I’m unsure exactly when they made their decision. CP received a large number of applications, but they should have sent out at least the first round of interview invitations by this week. Usually, newer Media Lab groups receive a large number of applicants. In the future, before applying, it’s helpful to visit the lab and talk with the PIs to better understand their current projects—not outdated or already finished ones. lld9383, tiredtardigrade and maianhp 2 1
