Directing MFA 2026

I've been waiting for someone else to start a forum, but ya'll are taking too long. So, I guess it's up to me. 

How's it going? Who is where in the process? Interviews? Callbacks? I'm anxious for the gossip! For me, it's:

1. Yale - swift rejection at the beginning of January 
2. Columbia - no response yet (received email asking if I wanted to be considered for the Dramaturgy MFA as well. It was sent as a standard email and wasn't personal. I have no interest)
3. Northwestern - no response yet
4. Carnegie Mellon - no response yet 
5. Boston U - no response yet
6. Brooklyn College - no response, but the application has not yet closed 
7. URTA - 5 callbacks and 2 second interviews (both completed) and now waiting for additional communication 

Columbia is not actually a realistic prospect for me because of their low funding levels, but I suppose you never know. Brooklyn and NU are my top choices

There's so little out there for us directors applying to grad school!

What's the status of your applications? I also got rejected from Yale in early January, and also got the email from Columbia about their Dramaturgy concentration. 

Did you get a callback at Columbia? I never heard anything from them, so I assume it's a no. Still waiting to hear from Boston.
