Hi,

I applied to numerous Phd programs and got many rejections. Today I received a notification of being wait-listed for admission and funding.

In general, what is the chance of wait listed candidate being eventually accepted?

In general, what is the change of wait listed candidate being eventually accepted?

It depens very much on a progam. You can send a reply to a grad secretaty, reiterating your interest in the program and asking to explain the structure of their wait-list. For example, are people on this list numbered like 1,2,3 etc. and if they are what is your position.

May be other commenters will give you more advice on that!
