I've been accepted to my top choice school and I'm sure I want to go there. Should I accept the offer right away or wait until the visiting weekend (in three weeks)?

I see no harm in waiting. Assuming you haven't visited before, you'll have a chance to get a peak at what you are accepting. (And if, GradCafe forbid!, you find out that there is some reason why the school wouldn't work for you, such as a personality clash with you POI, you can still change your mind).

This, at least, is the tactic I'm taking. To be fair though, my visit is only a week and a half away (much less time to go crazy while waiting!).

You must visit first. You must find out some interesting things during the visiting weekend. May be you'll be accepted to other schools, visit them too and suddenly see that they are better then this one. I've heard about such things happening. Stay open-minded!

I had a similar issue. I got accepted to my top choice and knew immediately I would be attending despite not having heard from 4-5 other schools at the time. However, all my professors told me to wait until after the campus visit to accept the offer, which I did. The campus visit is a chance to be wooed by the school, but if you have already accepted there is no reason for them to woo you. Or, at least, this was my professors' reasoning.

I will wait until the visiting weekend (even though there is nothing worse than waiting ;)) Thanks a lot!

There is something worse than waiting - making a wrong decision!! ;)

Good luck!
