eco_env Posted March 11, 2011 Posted March 11, 2011 has anyone ever gotten a rejection and asked the adcomm or (former) potential advisor for advice on improving the application for future years? bad idea?
Bukharan Posted March 11, 2011 Posted March 11, 2011 has anyone ever gotten a rejection and asked the adcomm or (former) potential advisor for advice on improving the application for future years? bad idea? I haven't done it myself but I think it is a very good idea. Go for it!
TMP Posted March 11, 2011 Posted March 11, 2011 I've done it and it's never a problem. They're always happy to hear that an applicant is very serious about the degree and is willing to work on improving applications. It's never been an issue for me.
Strangefox Posted March 12, 2011 Posted March 12, 2011 has anyone ever gotten a rejection and asked the adcomm or (former) potential advisor for advice on improving the application for future years? bad idea? There have been a couple of threads recently (within the last month or so) on this issue. You might try searching for them. But the main idea is - yes, do it, there is no harm in that. Just be polite and not too pushy.
