Anyone else receieve two rejection letters from the same school?

So one of the first rejection emails I received was from school X. It was a bummer but it wasn't one of my top choices so it didn't hurt too much. It was just a generic mass email but it mentioned the clinical psych program (i applied to the experimental) so I was a bit confused about that, but I figured since it was a mass email, it was for all psych applicants.

Now, several months later, I receive another rejection letter with similar wording but it mentions the experimental program. I found this pretty funny as I received two rejections but I only applied to one program.

Is this uncommon? I feel like most people don't get rejected twice by the same school in the same year

Last year, I received at least 2 letters of rejection from one school. I believe that I got 3 from the school. It was like the school told me "no" then just to make sure I understood they said "no" again. Then if memory serves correctly, they said it again just to make sure that I really knew they did not want me to even visit. It was a little funny.

I'm not sure it's what you mean, but I received both an online rejection and a paper rejection from a school, a few weeks apart, and I think that's actually relatively common.

I think that is common as well. I received two email notifications that were slightly different in wording more than 2 months apart. Seems like they put me on the list for first round of rejections and second round of rejections as well lol

I got two rejection letters from a school that then admitted me with funding.

Update: Received my 3rd rejection letter from this school in the mail today. lol

I did get a couple of double rejections as well: e-mail and then paper letters later. Seems like the schools could take care of it with one simple message:

"No! And NO MEANS NO!"

in total, from school X i received 2 email rejections and 3 letter rejections. i guess they REALLY didn't want me to go there ha

lol, i might apply to multiple departments in Caltech, Chicago, and Washington. So I'm like - REALLY scared of it happening

I received about three hard copies of rejection letters, along with two online ones from the same school...it's like, okay, I get the point!

I got an e-mail from one school, then a paper letter.

From the other one, two e-mails a week apart.

I wish I'd gotten one from the remaining school. They never officially rejected me.
