Phuc Nguyen
I kind of emulated smart.fm. That used to be free, but has now turned to iknow.jp, which lets you have 5 free trials. You can also make your custom lists there. Edited June 2, 2011 by Phuc Nguyen
bluejay16
This is pretty cool. Wish you could add a button that says you got it right or wrong when testing.

Phuc Nguyen
This is pretty cool. Wish you could add a button that says you got it right or wrong when testing. Hi Janomaly, there is actually feedback on whether your answer was correct or not. It's the color green or red for multichoice questions, and the red (correcting) text for sentence completion ones. Maybe it was my fault for not making it obvious? Edited June 3, 2011 by Phuc Nguyen
Phuc Nguyen
FYI, a similar app for studying word roots has just been out. Hope it helps https://market.android.com/details?id=com.phucnguyen.education.vocab.roots

crater21
And, of course, if you want to build up your GRE vocab, while fighting global hunger, check out www.freerice.com I'm literally addicted to this website! bluejay16

msw2013
I just was playing freerice.com and I love it too! It froze on me though but it's alright!
crater21
Yeah, freerice is great. My only complaint with it is that, at the higher levels, it gives too many nouns, which of course is not useful for the GRE. It does build your scrabble vocabulary though! Astarabadi
Just to add to that, I found an app for the iPhone that has proven to be very helpful. It's called "GRE Vocab" (simple enough) by Brainscape (www.brain-scape.com). its got 9 sets of vocab words, which appear like flash cards. Its also got a serious section on English Word Elements, which teaches root words, prefixes, and suffixes. Just 15-20 mins a day really helped me.
