mike218
Has anyone used Rosetta Stone or another language service to learn a new language? I am thinking of trying to learn Russian.
runonsentence
These threads from the English forum might be of use: I also like this blog review: http://www.fluentin3months.com/rosetta-stone-review/
starmaker
I have used it, and was impressed, and making good progress, but I spent too much time on it up front and then burned out. It can be sort of addictive - you want to pace yourself.
northstar22
I love languages . . . I've learned Spanish (in high school) and French (on my own), and I'm currently working on Chinese. However, I've never used Rosetta Stone. I just can't justify paying the steep price, and I know (for me, ymmv) that reading books and talking to native speakers is more effective in learning a language. FestivusMiracle
I know this thread is really old, but I just finished using Fluenz for Spanish, and I loved it. I highly doubt you'll find anything better for Spanish. IMO it's definitely worth the money.
