ThisSlumgullionIsSoVapid Posted January 7, 2012 Posted January 7, 2012 What was your major? And I think if you score 1000+ or 1100+ on the GRE you shouldn't have an issue at many masters programs; they're usually less competitive than PhD programs.
yuliaa Posted January 8, 2012 Author Posted January 8, 2012 I'm majoring in finance (accounting) and my GPA 3.4 , didn't take GRE test yet but not sure that i will get good grades (English is not my native).
julesevar Posted January 8, 2012 Posted January 8, 2012 You could start with doing a search for sociology ma programs. Also, not all ma programs require the gre.
abc123xtc Posted January 27, 2012 Posted January 27, 2012 You should take the GRE anyway. Most MA programs I applied to required it. It's better to be safe than sorry. CUNY-Queens seems fairly easy to get into. I applied there as well. You can also check out Fordham University.
panasic Posted January 27, 2012 Posted January 27, 2012 Are there any in California that you guys know of?
SocHope Posted January 27, 2012 Posted January 27, 2012 Are there any in California that you guys know of? Any of the CSUs that have graduate level soc programs would probably not be terribly difficult to get into.
ThisSlumgullionIsSoVapid Posted January 27, 2012 Posted January 27, 2012 Are there any in California that you guys know of? SDSU would be a cool one.
kbirch Posted January 29, 2012 Posted January 29, 2012 Do any of these offer funding, though? I got into Boston College's Masters last year, and I think they accept a lot of applicants, but they don't offer funding.
