wintergirl Posted January 11, 2012 Posted January 11, 2012 (edited) Apparently, GradCafe isn't immune to server problems, despite its existence in my brain as the Impermeable Fortress of Borderline OCD Grad School Applicants. So what do you do to answer your obsessing-over-apps-and-related-things-to-freak-out-about needs? Surely I'm not the only one who hit refresh about a billion times last night! Timshel Posted January 11, 2012 Posted January 11, 2012 Yeah, I did too. It's a little sad how attached I have become to this website.
bdon19 Posted January 11, 2012 Posted January 11, 2012 Hahaha same here. Eventually I had to force myself to go to bed, because nothing else was getting done. I refuse to be productive when my modes of potential procrastination are unavailable (even when I'm not even going to be using them!).
litjust Posted January 11, 2012 Posted January 11, 2012 I agree with all of you!!! Last night I realized that his has become a small addiction. I can't believe how many times I pressed refresh, opened a new browser, and even tried to access the site via phone. I let out a small sigh of relief this morning when my new "fix" was up and running again
gellert Posted January 11, 2012 Posted January 11, 2012 (edited) Sent 100 pings to the TGC server just to be sure. Tried to get on using my phone. Then I lurked around on SDN, and finally devoted myself to doing something actually productive (studying). Edited January 11, 2012 by gellert
lolopixie Posted January 12, 2012 Posted January 12, 2012 Gradcafe was down? Good thing I worked way too much overtime yesterday and practically passed out when I came home.
Pitangus Posted January 12, 2012 Posted January 12, 2012 GRADCAFE Y U NO WORK ლ(ಠ益ಠლ (Sorry for the meme-speak, but I can't help but use that emoticon when I can) Usually I just assume my laptop has gone lazy, but I guess it's good to know I wasn't the only one locked out. I gave up and returned to plowing through junk novels and abusing Amazon's 7-day ebook return policy. Pitangus 1

HaruNoKaze Posted January 13, 2012 Posted January 13, 2012 LOL God it feels good to be back after a break... I didn't even notice the site went down.
