panasic Posted January 21, 2012 Posted January 21, 2012 I never took the old version, and am trying to figure out what the "new 1400" would be. Any ideas?
Italophile Posted January 21, 2012 Posted January 21, 2012 It depends, since the distribution of verbal scores and quantitative scores aren't proportional to the old scale. http://www.ets.org/s/gre/pdf/concordance_information.pdf
Darth.Vegan Posted January 28, 2012 Posted January 28, 2012 I am hoping for 80-85th percentile. Enough to get my application thoroughly reviewed anywhere.
TheLadyT Posted January 31, 2012 Posted January 31, 2012 I'm kind of confused on this topic, as my "estimated score" at the facility (taken in November) was 670-770, but my scaled score (163) corresponds to 650 on the chart linked above.
MinervasOwl Posted January 31, 2012 Posted January 31, 2012 yeah, same here, my estimated score was a lot higher than the scaled score above- its all about the percentiles.
Eigen Posted January 31, 2012 Posted January 31, 2012 I think the scales have shifted since the earlier tests, as well.
