sciencegirl Posted January 29, 2012 Posted January 29, 2012 Probably in this order: 1. UCLA 2. Princeton/Stanford (tied) Haven't honestly thought of Harvard/Chicago/Yale as real possibilities since I feel like its more of a crapshoot to get into those places based on my interests. immigration, race/ethnicity, qualitative/mixed methods, gender
ThisSlumgullionIsSoVapid Posted January 29, 2012 Posted January 29, 2012 My tie is between Wisconsin and Penn State. What are your interests?
allhandsonthebadone Posted January 29, 2012 Posted January 29, 2012 #1 $$$ #2 $$ #3 $ Although conceivably fit and rank/prestige could trump this in some cases it will most likely come down to the best funding package. I can imagine being happy anywhere I applied to. violet. and quantitative 2
quantitative Posted January 29, 2012 Posted January 29, 2012 What are your interests? I'm trying to be careful what i post on here, so excuse my vagueness for now. I'm demography.
kbirch Posted January 29, 2012 Posted January 29, 2012 No particular order... Boston College Michigan State Loyola University Chicago (I would have Emory on here, but I'm thinking there's no hope left for me in Atlanta!)
ducksoup Posted January 29, 2012 Posted January 29, 2012 No particular order... Boston College Michigan State Loyola University Chicago (I would have Emory on here, but I'm thinking there's no hope left for me in Atlanta!) Michigan State is also on my list due to my interest in environmental sociology.
kbirch Posted January 29, 2012 Posted January 29, 2012 Ducksoup, MSU does have a great focus on environmental soc. I want to go there to study migration, refugee and immigrant experiences.
Darth.Vegan Posted January 29, 2012 Posted January 29, 2012 I'm gonna cheat a bit. 1) Stanford, Wisconsin 2) Cornell, NYU 3) Michigan, UC-Irvine
